How to apply

To apply to buy a shared ownership home, you will need to complete an application form, together with an Income and Expenditure Assessment statement.

You will also need to provide some supporting evidence to us including;

  • Proof of your identity and occupancy of your current address: This could be a passport or photo identification card such as a drivers licence and we will need to see at least two recent utility bills with your address on

  • Proof of savings: We will need to see a copy of a bank/building society statement or similar to make sure that you have savings to cover the associated costs (legal fees/mortgage fees etc) of your purchase
  • A Mortgage in Principle certificate: This shows that 'in principle' a lender would be willing to grant you a mortgage. Certificates can be obtained from a bank/building society or we can put you in touch with an Independent Financial Advisor who will provide this for you
  • If you are not obtaining a mortgage we will need to see Proof of capital such as a copy of a savings account statement or a memorandum of sale for your current home

If your application is successful, we will require a £200 deposit which will reserve your property. If you cancel the reservation, £150 will be returned to you and £50 will be retained to cover our administration costs.

Please note: There may be certain restrictions on keeping pets in some of our properties. Please check with us before proceeding with the reservation if there are any restrictions.
